Career help

Dear All,

I hope it appropriate to post this. My friend (German) is thinking of doing his career in IT and he did his masters in Geology.

As an Indian, I know that my friends took some courses to accomplish this. Could you please suggest how the process takes place in Germany? Does he has to take some courses etc..
