State Rentenpension scheme

Hello,
I would like to about your opnion about the Renetenpension scheme by the state. Bank guys told me that it is very interesting if you have family(Kid, wife). Do some one know more about it, advantages, disadvantages...
May be this will be useful for lot of people but cant get information becs of poor knowledge of language.
