Buying furniture and home appliances

Hi ! my company is paying me euro 5k for furnishing my house. Was wondering if this is good enough to cover the basic furniture (bed, sofa, cabinets, entire kitchen etc)and Home appliances such as LCD, Washing machine, microwave oven, fridge etc. We will be looking for a 1 BHK unfurnished apartment near Heidelberg area.

Re: Buying furniture and home appliances

Check out the prices at IKEA below to get an overview :

Prices in IKEA are cheaper compared to many other stores.

With 5K Euros , you can't get all the luxuries you want but it is not at all bad to start with. If you can squeeze more, try it out. But i am afraid there are always some kind of company norms and nothing more can be done to it.

Re: Buying furniture and home appliances

usually one could get used kitchen furniture for some hundred euros...and then your 5k would be enough for most of the basic things you need...

I remember I only spent 1000 euro for basic furnitures 9 years ago but my apartment has kitchen already installed.
