Resident permit for working(in germany) spouse of green card holder

Hello,
I am currently employed in Germany as a software developer.I am here for 1 1/2 years.Can i apply resident permit separately due to my work requirements or is it only bound till the date my husband green card is valid.
secondly my work permit expires next year but i am already in germany for 2 yrs.as per the rule i can get a work permit due to my 2 yr stay(green card regulations) does this affect my present work permit.
need help and sound advice.
