Tax HELP

Dear Members,

If one have a flat in his/her home country and he/she is paying the morgage or rent every month, can he/she claim this amout in your steuerklarung?

Or can he claim the double household in this situation (even though his spouse is in Deutschland)?

Please let me know if you have anything in this regard. I know it is trivial matter but would not want to miss claiming the amount when it is possible legally.
