Stocks income.

Hello everybody,
Two questions concerning income tax,

1) I've earned a little money from the stock market.Should I also declare the stocks income in my tax declaration?
Do you have any idea, how it is calculated and how much percentage should be paid as tax?

2)last year I got around 1200 euros as tax return though a tax consultants (tax class 1 and per anum salary of more than 50k), Is this amount sufficient or there is a space to get more tax refund?
If anyone of you know a good tax consultant in Munich area, please let me know his contact dteails.
regards

- do you have ne or citizen of germany?
- if you earn your money in indian stock market, you donot have to declare as income in germany. if eligible and invested in germany, regarding percentage i donot have idea, probably you'll get more responces soon.

"2)last year I got around 1200 euros as tax return though a tax consultants (tax class 1 and per anum salary of more than 50k), Is this amount sufficient or there is a space to get more tax refund?"

tax return is always depends on how much and for what you've invested. for example, if you've life insurence, travelling expenditure (home and to work), buy things for work (laptop or any...) and infact many more factors.

"If anyone of you know a good tax consultant in Munich area, please let me know his contact dteails."

this can be (mostly) answered by people living in münchen, i donot know any there.

Re: Stocks income.

In your case getting back 1200 Euro from paid tax looks like good enough. I have seen people getting back sums in the range 1000 to 1800 and more when going through tax consultants. People plan in advance to avail maximum tax benefits, like sending money home etc.

I have a couple of questions with regard to stock trading.

Have you traded in indian stock market or in german market.

Is it possible to do online trading in Indian stock market ?

In Germany is there any banks , agents ...who provides online trading services in English ?

thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

Are you sure about this piece of information ?I always thought holding a bank account is enough. I have neither NE nor Deutshce pass.

Once i stepped into a sparkasse and asked about online trading. They told online trading is possible and they must explain about the pros and cons. But there was no one who could explain to me in English.

There are sites which provides online trading for international customers. One site that i know is
http://www.internaxx.lu/

Re: Stocks income.

AFAIK all you need to trade is an additional "Depot" account apart from your normal giro/sparkonto..every bank has different conditions for this..the transaction fee per trade also differs..once you have a depot, you can simply start trading - no hassles.

just talk to your bank again or take a german-speaker along who can clarify the rules.

Re: Stocks income.

Hi,
My bank sent me letter about my SPARKonto which states:
1)zinzen xx,xx
2)steuer xx,xx
3)Solidaritätabschlag xx,xx

if some body have made tax-clearance with zinzen or stock income, can he share this info in which form & colum this information should be entered in TAX clearance form.
Can we enter this info in lohnsteuerbescheinigung form or it should be enter in Anl. KAP? By the way I am using ElsterFormular.

It is technical questen but if some one have already done, may be he can put some light by looking on his last tax clearance!!!!
