Minimum salary for getting work-permit

Hi all,

I finished my master's studies in Germany and also found a job. The company is offering me 1200 euros (brutto) per month...

Based on this company has also filed the documents for my work-permit....but out of curiosity I just want to know whats the minimum salary required for a masters's student to get a work-permit?(i dont have any work experience)..

In which German-State are you living in ? For East-Germany it "might" be acceptable but for West, you can hardly survive with that money.. (Keep in mind that 30-40 Percent of your gross salary goes to social payment deductions and tax)
